Our Story At Weaver Green, we transform discarded plastic bottles into beautiful, practical textiles. Our journey began when founders Tasha and Barney, with backgrounds in organic drinks and flooring, were inspired by a fishing rope made from plastic bottles during their travels in Asia and this moment sparked the idea of converting plastic waste into a practical yarns. Barney's expertise in textiles and Tasha's design and environmental ethos combined to address the issue of the 35 billion plastic bottles discarded yearly. Their goal was to create a textile that looked and felt like wool but was machine washable, stain-resistant, environmentally friendly, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. After seven years of research and development, they perfected a process to turn hard plastic into soft, wool-like fibres. Today, from their Devonshire home, Tasha, Barney, and their team offer a wide range of stylish, sustainable products. They continually improve their sustainability practices, ensuring a positive environmental impact. All our textiles are hand-loomed, with artisans in Europe and Asia paid fairly and working safely. Our commitment to quality and ethical production ensures our products are as kind to people as they are to the planet. Join us in offering your customers eco-friendly, stylish, durable textiles that make a house a home.
