Story. Art. Life. My name is Lisa Wiltse and I’m a photographer, artist and creative creating art from my beautiful messy life. In a previous iteration of my narrative, I traveled the world as a documentary photographer and told stories about children’s lives across cultures. I’ve always had a nostalgic spirit, fascinated by childhood characters and objects that are playful and sometimes strange. My camera took me on adventures to South America, New Zealand, Australia, USA, France, and now Ireland with my daughter and husband. An unexpected thing happened along the way. After spending years convinced that photography was my only creative outlet, and after traveling great lengths (in every sense of the word) to seek out stories, I felt something was missing. I wanted to be home. I wanted to create things with my own hands. I wanted to travel inward and bring alive the stories of my imagination. I began crafting and painting at home, inspired by my newfound adventures of being a mom and the details and diversity of nature and everyday life.
