We started our journey in 2014 when we designed Pointer Wine Glass, a revolutionary wine glass for outdoor use. The interest we already had for wine grew day after day and our founder, Ramona Enache-Lorenz transited from amateur wine drinker to certified sommelier. In 2022 our product-centred business became a platform for unique wines products and wine experiences. As a true wine lover and also a real Amsterdam adopted girl, Ramona always went to the park with some wine and her real wine glasses. After many disastrous moments in which either the glass broke or the entire amount of wine was spilled in the grass, she came up with the idea of having a real wine glass that could be pinned in the ground, to prevent such happenings. After researching a lot, POINTER was born as the first wine glass of its category. Successfully activating under the motto "Drinking wine with style. Anytime. Anywhere", POINTER sold more than 200 handmade prototypes and 10 months after the first sketch, the project was crowdfunded with 15 000 EUR on Kickstarter. The glass was bought by supporters in 26 different countries worldwide and we were able to switch to partially automatised production, in Romania. Soon after, the wine glass was awarded an Honorable Mention as part of the Red Dot Design Award.
