After over a decade of being renowned for producing the most beautiful bath essences and personal fragrances, Caroline Hardy has now applied her skill in design and perfume creation to the area of home fragrance with delightful results. Previously, Caroline designed bath and home products for customers including Henri Bendel, Laura Ashley and Ralph Lauren, Marks and Spencer. Her own collection, ILLUMENS is one which she is most proud, since all the products are developed without compromise. Russell's background is in design having worked for Designers Guild, Osborne and Little and Harvey Nichols. All ILLUMENS scented candles and taper diffusers are handmade and carefully packed in Suffolk where Caroline and Russell live and work. 'The ILLUMENS team is small, but that’s the way we like it, Russell and I develop everything ourselves from the initial idea, right through the development of the fragrances and the packaging to the final product. Everything in the process is very carefully considered so that the end product is beautiful to look at, performs amazingly and is affordable! We are both truly passionate about fragrance and design.' Field Day was born in 2002 when Alix, a girl from County Down was inspired to capture and bottle the native scents from the fragrant fields of our Irish countryside.

Our cartons are printed with vegetable inks on PEFC board from sustainable, responsibly managed forests. Our plastic bottles are made from recycled plastics. The rest of our range is plastic free. Our soaps are milled with RSPO planet friendly palm oil. Our sustainable aluminium folk tins and stoneware pots are perfect to re-purposing into a wildflower vase or pen pot. All our candles come with a seed paper topper to plant in vessel when your candle is finished.

The Golden Altar - Originally began as Muse Incense when I realised how much incense was a part of my daily ritual. From meditating, cleaning or taking time for a cup of tea I always enjoyed lighting an incense and taking a moment. I wanted to bring that small ritual to more people’s homes. A time to be thoughtful, focussed or inspired. It was when my mum became poorly that I realised how bad for you a lot of incense can be. So I began to look into natural incense. I then worked on having beautifully fragranced incense that is made from natural ingredients and scented with essential oils, so they truly help you to unwind with a focus on aromatherapy. In a time when self love is more important than ever, I wanted to share something that felt like a treat but a treat for every day. Incense and eye pillows are where my journey with Muse started but more self love treats are on the way with the brand now being The Golden Altar there will be a focus on daily rituals, spaces and wellbeing.

We have worked hard to create a range of unique fragrances made from blends of essential and botanical oils, combined with soy, rapeseed and beeswax for a clean burn, and a vegan soy base oil for a slow and consistent fragrance diffusion. Our packaging is very striking, with a look of luxury but without breaking the bank - when you buy Brownstone you are buying the product and not the packaging, all of which is fully recyclable and comes with a biodegradable cello wrapping. As well as home fragrance we focus on printed textiles, with a range of beauty bags and shower hats printed with our own monochrome hand-sketched designs in a choice of patterns. Our shower hats are also coated and designed so the water runs off to ensure the hats dry out very quickly.
