Roots and Leaves was established in 2017 by Haley Maness and was born out of desperation and necessity. I (Haley, Founder/Owner) was diagnosed with Lyme’s disease and mold exposure and it was wreaking havoc on my health and life. Mainstream medical was doing little to help, so I started researching alternative treatments. I was introduced to the healing world of herbs and I haven’t looked back. I quit my job in corporate america and pursued herbalism to heal myself. After I found healing, I became a certified herbalist and began developing every product that you see in my catalog. Every product that I create is geared towards ultimate health and healing using clean and all natural ingredients. Rowe Casa Organics was born in 2017 when Jill Rowe started creating all-natural remedies at home to help keep her family of five healthy. Our founder, Duncan Napier was born in 1831 and abandoned within hours of his birth. He was taken in by an innkeeper and his wife, who beat him and treated him little better than a slave At the age of 9, he was apprenticed to a baker and found himself with a cough triggered by the flour dust that he simply could not shake off. Inspired by his mentor, John Hope, he left home at 15 and began to attend Scientific Botany classes in search of a cure for his cough. It was later when he joined the Edinburgh Botanical Society that his interest in herbs grew that he developed his famed Lobelia Cough Syrup. The syrup was an instant sensation, and Duncan decided to become a herbalist. On the 25th of May 1860, he opened a herbal shop and the people of Edinburgh queued for hours to see him and get a herbal cure for their ailments.
