Uncle Ray's Peanut Brittle was launched in 2017 and offers a line of gourmet, handmade brittle with vegan and dairy-free options! Ranging from Bacon Pecan Brittle (the true gem of the brittle line) to Pumpkin Pie Pecan Brittle, everything is based on my Great Uncle Ray's 35yr old peanut brittle recipe and I named the company after him in honor of our friendship. It's that Sweet kind of love, the love you have for your friends, your family and your community. Uncle Ray's Peanut Brittle was started in a truly Texas way....over coffee, laughter, and charming talks about life with my Great Uncle Ray. Anytime I visited for coffee, he always had on a pot of coffee, a smile, and a fresh batch of brittle ready to crunch on. He was 'Mr. Peanut Brittle' himself, taking it with him pretty much every where he went - creating community with every bite. But our story does not end there.....Like any truly Texas gal with big hair and a zest for helping their neighbors, I set off to the Peace Corps where I met some truly incredible people in the South Pacific. One in particular that I was hell bent on helping. Since Uncle Ray had sent me boxes of brittle that I shared with my community, (and they went bonkers for it every time) I decided to use the sweet treat we all loved to do a crowd funding campaign to help change my friends life. And it worked! But Best of all....Uncle Ray's Peanut Brittle was born!
