About Mosaico Jewels

Mosaico is the product of more than 40 years of experience, creativity and teamwork. If we were to name the most influential persons in this line, that would definitely be Gloria Higuera and David Mercer, founders of the company. David migrated to Mexico from the U.S. at an early age, searching for his real passion. While traveling, he came upon a beautiful little town called Taxco, this is where he discovered silversmithing, craft that has been passed from generation to generation for more than 200 years. It was in this beautiful place that he met his future wife, Gloria, who was born in Mexico City. She came from an artistic background, studying arts and living in Prague for 5 years. Together they combined talents to create something new. Mosaico is made in our work shop in Guadalajara, Mexico by young women who are in their majority, single mothers that have discovered their artistic passion in jewelry. All our pieces start by hand making the silver bessel in any of our diferent shapes, then we fill them with crystals, glass and stones one by one creating beautiful patterns never seen before.
