Steve Goodwin is based in East Sussex, England and has worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for over 30 years. He works on many and varied projects and illustrates in different styles. He has a particular interest in linocut printing and InkyCrowArt is dedicated to this work. Steve likes to combine the traditional hands-on crafting of linocut printing with modern digital techniques. His work starts traditionally with pencil drawings that are transferred to lino which he then hand carves. Hand printed copies are produced from the lino which are scanned. The images are then composed and coloured digitally before going to print. The illustrations that Steve produces are all of personally observed scenes and subjects of personal interest. Motoring and motorsport, particularly involving classic cars, feature prominently in his work. Steve part owns two classic cars with his brother and together they organise motorsport events and events for classic cars.Read their story
