In 1999 we began as a traditional chocolate shoppe that highlighted Anne of Green Gables-inspired handmade chocolates. The original store and factory was in Avonlea, an idyllic village created in Cavendish, PEI based on the book Anne of Green Gables. We launched with sweets like fudge, chocolate caramels, and chocolate creams all inspired by recipes from 1908, the period the book was published. In 2011 high demand for our chocolates meant that we moved to what we now call ANNE's Chocolate Factory and our flagship store at 15 Milky Way, Charlottetown. Included in the “The Best Chocolate in Canada” by Canadian Living we’re proud to use high-end ingredients and deliver exceptional handmade products to chocolate lovers. ANNE’s playful and precocious personality has inspired us at ANNE of Green Gables Chocolates. We strive to reflect her colourful and creative charm in everything we do.Read their story
