About Ember and Beam

Founder and creative director, Katie Bolton creates candles that are unique and healthy for you and your family. "Candles have always been something that I have been into. After becoming a mom to four children, I was noticing all the harsh chemicals in most candles that I was buying so I knew if I still wanted candles in my home, I needed to do something different. After lots of trial and error, I have made candles that are both safe and wonderful to smell so you can have confidence bringing our beautiful candles into your home." All of our candles are made with 100% coconut and apricot wax. We use renewable cotton wicks made from fruit trees. Every candle is made with both natural and man-made scents made from essential oils. Each vessel is intended to be reused to maximize sustainability. We love reusing the beautiful vessels for fresh flowers from the garden! All candles are hand-poured by Katie and her family at their beautiful, working farm in Sidney, Ohio.
