About Wood & Whiskey Candle Co.

It all began with stumbling across some empty glass candle jars that someone had tossed away. A yearning to create something new during a 2020 quarantine lull turned into taking these jars and making them into candles. Not just ordinary candles, but candles with REAL WHISKEY added in. Cause why not try something that sounds a bit crazy? The whiskey addition ended up creating an awesome effect, a crackling sound that mimics a real wood fire! Other wooden wick candles contain adhesives in order to produce a crackle, but using whiskey creates a more unique, dynamic crackle. Being a mechanical engineer, the concept quickly turned into further experimentation in order to perfect the crackle. Through the experimentation and catharsis of candle making, a new passion was born. From there, the Wood & Whiskey Candle Co. mission was born: Provide a truly unique, whiskey infused candle that feeds the flame of adventure within our customers' souls. About me - the Founder / Candle Maker Hey there! I'm Shane, founder and candle maker of Wood & Whiskey Candle Co. I'm an avid adventurer and Mechanical Engineer with a strong love for invention and entrepreneurship. I truly believe that every single person on earth has one or numerous God-given talents that they can WOW and serve others with. My incredible wife and I (and our baby on the way!) live in Evergreen, Colorado, which is also where I make the candles!
