In 1897, a Hungarian pharmacist discovered the incredibly versatile effects of mint spirits mixed with menthol. His pharmacy “DIANA” was soon so well known for the household remedy that in 1907 he had his tonic registered under this name in the Austrian trademark register. This makes DIANA one of the oldest brands in Austria! A woman with a bow and arrow is the image that has adorned the packaging of DIANA products for over 120 years and is probably known to everyone. It is less known that this is the Roman hunting goddess DIANA, who is associated with strength, acumen and a connection to nature.
