Starfangled Press is the work of artist Kristen Necessary. We opened our storefront doors in 2016 with a simple yet powerful mission to bring more art to your daily life. It’s hard to nail down all the things we do and love, but Southern Living Magazine recently called our space a “shrine to paper goods and clever design” and we are pretty ok with that. In the studio, a blend of traditional printmaking and digital illustration brings each artwork to life. Our original designs feature layers of bold, flat color and texture. We are playful and quirky. We are heartfelt and witty. And everything we do is infused with a little southern Appalachian charm. Our goods are made to bring restorative joy and authentic connection to your daily life. Kristen wants to see original art become a more regular part of everyday life for regular people just like her! That's why at Starfangled Press we celebrate the process of printmaking for its rich history of making fine art at affordable prices. We strive to create exceptional and accessible original art using the influences and techniques of woodcut, etching, screenprint, and letterpress in all that we do.
