We love organic soaps, but what many people are not aware of is that making organic soap is not that easy! Because in order to produce soaps, a lye must be provided for the fats and oils. This still unprocessed lye is corrosive and must never be inhaled or treated. The processing of these two basic ingredients results in a chemical reaction, saponification. The corrosive properties disappear completely and instead the soap acquires its cleansing and dirt-dissolving effect. At SOHO Naturkosmetik, we don't cook the ingredients in between, as is the case with industrially produced soap! Because that would destroy the valuable active ingredients.
