Founded at the end of 2016, East London Baby Co designs baby-approved, kid-proof jewellery that’s tuggable, chewable, washable and, importantly, super wearable and loved by parents. With an eye on trends and a focus on making jewellery that looks like actual jewellery, it’s the perfect gift for any mum to feel a bit more ‘her’ whilst also working as the perfect on-the-go teether. East London Baby Co. launched after owner Katie had a special necklace broken by first baby Beatrix. She looked online at all the different kinds of teething/baby safe jewellery and just couldn't find anything she wanted to wear as an actual piece of jewellery.

Being quite crafty (knitting and embroidery are hobbies) she thought she'd give it a go herself and created the Mint necklace. As soon as she started wearing her necklaces, other mums started asking where to get them - and East London Baby Co. was born.
 Highlights so far include selling in-store at a pop up inside Mamas & Papas Westfield twice and spotting our Earth necklace on MP Stella Creasy whilst she was debating abortion rights in Parliament with new baby Hettie in tow. Between entertaining kids and running East London Baby Co., Katie likes to explore East London, collect street art, craft, lift weights, bake and beat her husband at Mario Kart. Katie is excited to be able to focus on and grow the business now her youngest is in preschool.
