These same metal boxes stayed with us all through our school journey, proving to be a system of sustainability right up until we left. Then, plastic was introduced. It was lighter, more attractive and provided more options. But at what cost? Certainly, it was cheaper! But it kept breaking and had to be replaced often. And what about its environmental impact and it’s a danger to our health? We decided to heed the lessons of our past. We wanted something that was recyclable, durable and sustainable. We brought this concept to New Zealand, doing our part to protect our land and marine environments. We started Meals in Steel...plastic free lunchboxes/containers
