Convivial is a production and design company that labors over the creation of simple, ethically made ceramic wares. Our company began as a one-woman show wheel-throwing out of a home garage and today is made up of a group of incredibly talented artisans who bring each piece from dust to life in a design and manufacturing space located in the Historic West Bottoms of Kansas City. Our mission is to produce wares that inspire others toward a life of conviviality – the joining of people to eat, drink and be joyful within one another.

Hester & Cook started in the home basement of husband and wife team Robbie and Angie Hester Cook. What began as Robbie’s inspired idea of crafting a vintage doorknob into a bottle stopper soon became the company’s first product, KnobStoppers. Within months, Angie and Robbie introduced the product to the wholesale market. From there, Hester & Cook rapidly grew into offering everything from hand-crafted chandeliers to #2 pencils. Today we are best known for our paper placemat pads and table runners. Assortments of our products can be found at over 3000 stores worldwide, but the full collection is only available on this website as well as our three Nashville, TN area retail locations found in Berry Hill, our flagship store in White Bridge, and our latest location in Franklin, TN. In addition to Hester & Cook’s own products, we also carry a wide variety of brands that fit both our ethos and our aesthetic. Madame Treacle is a British greeting card design company established in 2012 and based near Brighton in the South East of England. The designs take inspiration from a variety of vintage sources and fuse this with the vibrancy of contemporary culture. Each has a distinct individual style that embrace an array of art and design influences and diverse source material, from ephemera to fine art. Sustainability and the environment is very important to us, so we only use FSC (forest stewardship council) certified card stock & envelope materials, biodegradable sleeves and all our packaging including tape is eco friendly paper based, so 100% recyclable ~ Forests For All Forever.
