About Gabriella Rizzo Studio

Gabriella Rizzo Studio is run by illustrator Gabriella Rizzo, who lives and works in Signy, Switzerland. She grew up in Brazil and the United States of America. Gabriella attended the History of Arts program at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland and the Design program at the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás in Brazil. In 2012 she attended classes in Central Saint Martins in London. With a background in Graphic Design & Art History, she worked in Fashion before committing full-time to motherhood and the snow-capped mountains of the Swiss countryside. In more recent years, she has rekindled her passion for visual arts. Gabriella specialises in fusing traditional and digital media, notably using gouache on smooth watercolour paper and digital illustration. Her work is best known for its dry brushstrokes and bright colour palette, vividly animating her subjects. Gabriella's oeuvre primarily focuses on children and the natural world, characterised by a playful and intricate style that captures the innocence and wonder of her themes. With sustainability at the forefront of her studio, Gabriella sets out to give back in every project created and uses sustainable living concepts in her personal and professional endeavours.Read their story
