Once upon a time, a father took his son to the print house. The boy was fascinated by the enormous machines, the paper blocks and the smell of ink and fresh-cut paper. He fell in love immediately with the printmaker's world and decided to study printing. He also dreamt of something beautiful... and that is how Bomo Art was born in 1997. A small group of professionals joined him, and since then they all work for the same goal every single day: to bring joy to Bomo customers by manufacturing beautiful, sophisticated, fine quality stationery products. Bomo Art is known for its special atmosphere of unmatched, unique designs, the handmade journals created by bookbinders and the recurring details of the originally hand-drawn designs on different stationery products. We believe in real things: real paper, real leather, and the high quality of the raw materials we use are all non-negotiables. Also, we are committed to ethical manufacturing, and all products are made in Hungary and Italy. We have a work lab in Budapest and 2 downtown stores. The repertoire is continuously growing: besides journals, diaries and sketchbooks we also sell greeting cards, gift tags, postcards, notes, memos, wall decor, letter paper sets, bookmarks, pen cases, pins and many other exclusive products. We aim to save craftsmanship for the future, we believe that handwriting won’t disappear and we love to inspire people to capture their ideas, design beautiful things and share their stories.
