Hello & welcome! My name is Caitlyn and I'm a fine artist, public health nurse and loving momma to my two cats. I create work that's inspired by our innate desire to connect, both to nature and each other. I'm proud to share that all prints are produced, cut and packaged by myself in my home studio, and my art cards are printed by a small, locally owned business in Trenton, Ontario. Thank you for being here and supporting small! A little more about me: I started painting and crafting before I entered into Junior Kindergarten. I grew up spending any free moment I had creating. All of my birthday parties were arts & crafts themed and I started teaching art to my peers by Grade 5. I've always been passionate about sharing creativity with others and I always knew I would be an artist. I'm mostly self-taught, but I did earn a Fine Art Certificate in a 1-year program at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. Living with anxiety, I tend to grip onto life plans and need to feel in control; when I paint, I learn that it's okay to trust the process. It's usually when we choose to let go that the most amazing and unexpected outcomes present themselves. We have to leave room for life's magic to happen. My highest desire is to inspire feelings of deep connection and true belonging through my artwork. I’m constantly in awe of nature and the human experience we all face on this earth, and choose to focus my work in celebration of these things that I love and find so beautiful.
