i'm a Midwest-born and raised, Portland-based and world-inspired collage artist. i’m also a mom to two young boys and a fanatic of moving my body, water and the great outdoors. more the merrlier © has been brewing since 1986. my mom says i was born with a broom in my hand but I think she meant broom AND gluestick. as a child no one had to tell me to craft 100’s of holiday paper decorations, i just knew i Had to. in 2017 i turned my scrappy hobby into a business. the collage ingredients are simple. white stock paper, recycled magazines, scissors, gluesticks and good vibes.., and i don’t skip on the latter! sometimes a scrap inspires me, other times it’s a color palette, but more often than not it’s an idea popping into my head. no matter how the collages begin, i am always excited to dive in and watch as they unfold. on the flip side, i am human and i can sometimes fall into the trap of taking more the merrlier © too seriously. but merry and seri just doesn’t go together! i remind myself to let go, to play, and to experience the joy of the journey. after all, nothing can be too somber when your mission is to spread smiles! what else? i hope to grow more the merrlier © into the little business that can! it’s a side hustle labor of love aimed at spreading smiles and encouraging you to experience the messy joy of creation. merrily merrily merrily merrily, life is bout a dream ;)
