About Ardiarana - Kamiku

We wanted to create a different cheese, soft, creamy and rooted in our roots. We are from Legasa, a small town in the heart of the Western Pyrenees, here we have grown up, in the hamlet, in this rural environment and surrounded by this beautiful place full of mountains and green meadows. We are committed to setting up a cheese factory integrated into nature, respecting resources, generating employment in rural areas, making cheeses by hand from natural resources, to return to the world a product that respects the environment and society. Our goal has always been to make a cheese in an artisanal way, following a production process typical of the area from raw milk from our sheep. To be able to produce exceptional cheeses, it is necessary to take care of and pamper every detail of the process. Our cheeses are manually brushed 17 times during different periods of the refining process before being released for sale. Kamiku comes from the name of our family home. Here there is a custom of calling people by the name of the house, we are Kamiku. Kamiku is our story.

We are a young company that was born at the end of 2016, but we have the experience of a team of professionals who, since 2007, when the Castro-Barjola family acquired the company Iberitos from Embutidos Matías Sánchez (the real creators) after the addition of new partners, we have managed to develop a cutting-edge and recognized brand. These partners put their private interests before the values with which the company was created and started the company from which it was born: SANTA AMALIA. And so, we jumped into the void, accompanied by a group of workers who believed in the original project, creating this company “ESENCIA Y SABOR”. In 2019, we returned to SANTA AMALIA, to the initial facilities where it all began and where it should never have come from.

We are more than 600 families from the Sierra Norte de Sevilla. Every day we work to bring our Goat Cheeses, Roasted Lamb and Iberian Hams and Sausages to your table. We have been together for more than 38 years. Three generations of ranchers and ranchers who want to continue to conserve the rural environment. Our tradition and the ecosystem that surrounds us are the basis for the quality of our food. More than 50 workers work in our company, and we generate employment indirectly, thus contributing to the improvement of our region. We are in a privileged geographical environment, the Sierra Norte Natural Park, located within the province of Seville. This region of the Sierra Morena has a predominant landscape composed of extensive pastures of holm oaks and cork oaks. Discover the natural and unique flavor of our Goat Cheeses. Fresh, cured or in cream. We make them daily by hand in our factory in El Pedroso (Seville). Use them as starters, to accompany a salad or combine them on a succulent cheese board.
