Varvara means " foreign woman" in old Bulgarian. We're a small design studio based in San Francisco - but rooted deep in the Slavic tradition and folklore. Our pieces are ready for retail with packaging, tags, care instructions and displays always available on request. Varvara's consumer is the confident young woman who's buying jewelry for everyday wear and wants to stand out with a unique, boho but high end look. The design philosophy of Varvara revolves around intricate details, echoing the craftsmanship that has been passed down through generations. Sterling silver, gold and brass are meticulously shaped to bring to life symbols such as traditional motifs, folk art, and mythical creatures, creating a visual tapestry that resonates with the Slavic spirit. Varvara's commitment to sustainability is reflected in its choice of materials and ethical production practices. We use real stones, reusable and durable packaging and eco friendly sourcing processes for our materials.
