Following my best friend passing away from cancer in 2012; he was only 40. I realised that ‘awareness of your health, of your body’ was such an important area to promote as the earlier a problem is diagnosed, the greater chances of survival. Men’s underwear seemed an obvious ‘product’ and the word ‘bollox’ (which I have often used throughout my life) seemed the perfect messenger. In essence ‘every time a guy pulled them up he’d be reminded to check & to be aware’, even his partner, his mum, his dad, someone … would be reminded to remind him! ..bollox undies were borne. The following years was researching and designing to create a quality brand /product which guys would want in their underwear drawer. Not just one pair but a selection pairs, not just one purchase but love them enough to want bollox to be their choice of undies. The brand is a ‘cause’ therefore in every box there is useful information on signs and symptoms on men’s health to further increase education and awareness plus we have always wanted to be charity focussed so 10% of our profits are donated to a men’s cancer charity.
