Here’s where we started… In 2012 this guy with a burgeoning beard had an idea, so he approached some other guys who maybe had beards at the time but we can’t really remember to jump on the idea train with him so they did and they launched Foot Cardigan a mere three months later. The first thing that put Foot Cardigan on the map was a Sock the Vote campaign with Obama and Romney socks, where people were encouraged to vote with their feet. Spoiler alert: Obama won. Here’s where we’ve been… Foot Cardigan grew organically year after year, gathering uber-loyal subscribers and fans along the way — partly because the sock designs were freaking cool and otherpartly because Foot Cardigan as a brand eschewed stereotypical coolness and that in and of itself was charming or so we hear. Oh. And then in early 2015 said bearded guys applied to Shark Tank. The episode aired in October of 2015. That was crazy. Here’s where we’re going… After the whirlwind of Shark Tank, Foot Cardigan experienced 3x growth. Someone who’s good at mathematics and Excel spreadsheets once told us that’s pretty incredible. But, Foot Cardigan has never been a company that likes to just float along. We like to disrupt shizz. So the future looks like us thinking outside of the sock subscription, making the customer experience even better, and continuing to be the little gnat that just won’t go away until you acknowledge the fact that we’re living in your banana bowl.
