Lou is a Silversmith and Goldsmith Jeweller. Lou design's and makes her Jewellery in Yorkshire, UK. ‘’As an artist it would be fair to say that my work takes over my life, yet I wouldn’t have it any other way’’. Intrigued and inspired by her surroundings, Lou’s work is random, and emotional. Bursting with innate organic form, its sculptural and poetic form can take on many a diverse range. Abstract, experimental and potentially dysfunctional, Lou uses an array of entangled processes within her work, creating unique and bold jewellery designs. Having grown up in Devon, by the sea, and now residing in a beautiful woodland, Lou's work is hugely inspired by nature. Lou also likes to use organic and found materials within her work. She also likes to let the silver and gold take on its own unique form whilst using traditional silversmithing techniques. Embracing her wonky style and dislike of regimental straight lines....The Wonky Jewellery company was formed in 2018 after finding her own style since graduating from The Northern School of Art in 2013.
