Simply Stated Bath & Body is a women-owned and operated business by a mama-daughter duo! We live in rural Colorado with our families and golden retrievers. Our journey started in 2015 when we were learning how to eliminate toxins and unnecessary chemicals from our products within our home, kitchen, and bathroom. We originally started with just essential oils and very basic formulas. Soon friends, coworkers, and family members were asking for their own products and in their favorite fragrances. Since 2015 we have grown significantly in our formulating, branding, and variety of products. We've attended trainings and conferences to ensure we are bringing you safe yet fun products. Continued education is a value of ours and we are constantly learning and growing for the business and our customers. Fun fact: as of October 2020, Simply Stated Bath & Body is now a full-time job for both of us! This is a story about about a mother's desire to attain CLEAN, ORGANIC, HEALTHY PRODUCTS with Authenticity & Integrity. When Lori's son was born, she had a difficult time finding products she would feel comfortable using on her newborn. Creams contain water which therefore need preservatives - something she wasn't willing to put on her newborn's delicate & sensitive skin knowing it only takes 27 seconds for toxins to enter into the blood stream via the skin. She started digging further into ingredients on popular baby skincare products & found is that the majority of products deemed "safe" for sale actually include toxic ingredients, most of which can cause cancer when used consistently & regularly! So the solution was to make her own products, ones that she would feel luxurious using herself. MYLK was then born – a luxury skincare brand of products which contain nutrients for all skin types, especially those which are sensitive & irritated. Lori uses organic herbs, oils, minerals & probiotics in MYLK products to transform skincare into skin nutrients. MYLK is formulated to provide a mother's body with the healing elements she needs postpartum as well as the nourishment & soothing factors a newborn requires in the early days of life & beyond. Focus has been lost on the importance of simplicity. Skincare has deviated away from the healing powers organic herbs, oils & minerals bestow. MYLK honours these powers & brings mother nature back to into luxury skincare.

In 1999 two Cincinnati sisters, Kim and Shelly Decker, discovered a passion for making soap. It began when Kim started looking for remedies to cure her dry hands, and her quest led to countless time spent researching ingredients, experimenting with soap combinations, and discovering the perfect blends for natural, handmade soap. While Shelly thought she was crazy for being SO into soap making, she eventually tried her hand at it and became hooked as well. As a means of bonding and also as a stress reliever, the two sisters made soap and sold it at local festivals for many years before deciding to take on sales at a larger level. In 2009, the sisters moved into their first production facility as they began selling to local grocery stores and gift shops. In 2013, expansion again allowed them to produce thousands of bars of soap and bottles of lotion per month. Kim and Shelly continue to spend countless hours researching and experimenting with ingredients that are beneficial for the skin. Their passion for high quality ingredients and their sisterly bond keep them on the path of creating naturally healing bath and body products.
