Working from her Ouseburn studio in the artistic heart of Newcastle upon Tyne, Ruby has been perfecting her craft for almost ten years. She prides herself on creating an alternative to the "fast fashion" movement by following ethical practices throughout her business. This includes using traditional silversmithing techniques to make her jewellery, which is made exclusively from recycled sterling silver and 9ct gold, with the addition of some of nature’s most beautiful gemstones, which have been ethically sourced. Many of her designs start with the materials themselves, rather than a sketch. Ruby likes to experiment with forming wire and sheet before settling on a design.
