Hi, I'm Jalid, and SIMPLE leather goods is my life/passion! After more than 13 years of working in graphic design, I decided it was time for a change, and decided to be a shoe maker, spent more than a year learning the craft until I saw the need to go back to graphic design due to the lack of income and my wedding coming up. Now with limited time still needed to make leather goods, the first thing I made is the wallet I use today, made out from one piece of leather and almost no stitching. Fast forward some months, (got married) and, was getting my first orders from friends and family. So I decided to give it my full attention and quit, once again, my graphic design (secure, good-paying) job and risk it all, to make leather goods, and with the help of some friends got SIMPLE leather goods off the ground. I have been selling in Guatemala for 7 years now, and I'm working with a small artisan team who keep using traditional methods of craftsmanship, paying them fair wages, and together we aim to bring you the best in top quality leather goods, hope you love them as much as we do!Read their story
