At GRAPLRZ, we believe the best ideas come from a deep connection to the outdoors and the challenges that come with it. The journey started for us by being immersed in the wild. Every moment of free time was spent fishing, hunting, and camping—exploring uncharted trails, and finding solace in nature's beauty. Those early adventures laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for exploration. Fast forward later into life to a place where love for the outdoors collided with a recurring frustration: gear that couldn’t keep up. Sunglass lanyards had been a staple for years—functional, sure, but never designed to match the quality or performance of the sunglasses they protected. While sunglasses had evolved with cutting-edge materials and technology, their retainers seemed stuck in the past. That’s when the spark for GRAPLRZ ignited. In 2016, as a true grassroots startup, we set out to redefine sunglass lanyards. Our mission was simple: to create rugged, reliable retainers built to withstand the toughest conditions while complementing the craftsmanship of the gear we love. From humble beginnings, GRAPLRZ has grown into a brand fueled by the same spirit of adventure that inspired it—a dedication to quality, resilience, and innovation for those who live to explore.
