SOUK in the CITY is a label of unique & colorful Moroccan craftsmanship. As a passionate distributor, I've been handpicking and carefully curating handmade berber rugs, baskets, small decor and bright accessories for many years. I personally source all one-of-a-kind items and have built trusted relationships with local craftsmen and dealers. Through more than 20 years of travels and personal interest, I have acquired on-the-ground expertise and strong ties to the wonderful country that Morocco is. I work closely with the artisans, curating the best of the best and also designing my own collections while supporting local traditions. I’m especially proud of my own collections of upcycled cushions and poufs: giving new life to vintage Moroccan rugs, kilims and other pre-loved fabrics. Wonderfully worn, full of colour and character. Perfectly imperfect; the ultimate in sustainable homewares. Handmade in Marrakech by our preferred maâlems. Due to the vintage nature of many of our pieces - irregularities in shape, texture and colour, and signs of age and wear should be expected and not considered as faults.Read their story
