GUNAS is a New York City based luxury vegan fashion brand founded in 2009 by designer and animal lover Sugandh G. Agrawal. From the very beginning, GUNAS has been committed to being 100% vegan, cruelty-free, and sweatshop-free, showing the world it’s possible to be an ethical consumer without sacrificing style in the process. Common materials used in GUNAS products include coated canvas, linings made from recycled plastic bottles, recycled metals for hardware, and MulbTex, a material which is made from mulberry leaves and has been for centuries in Korea. Each purchase allows GUNAS to give back to animal oriented nonprofits such as Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, The Humane League, Gentle Barn, and PETA just to name a few. From being awarded 2015’s Best Green Handbag Label by InStyle to 2018’s Best Retail Handbag-Independent Designer award by Macy's, GUNAS has proven itself to be a pioneer in the world of vegan fashion time and time again. The brand offers a wide variety of handbag styles and a small capsule shoe collection handmade by a family of artisans in South Korea for animal lovers all over the world.
