Cenia has been designing and making women’s dresses since she was a child, as she grew up in a family dedicated entirely to the fine art of dressmaking in her native Dominican Republic. She sketched up glamorous dresses she imagined for mother’s clients and was thrilled when she saw her inspirations come to life and women loving them. After graduating summa cum laude from New York's prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in 2004, Cenia worked in New York's competitive Garment District for various renowned brands, but after a few years, decided to pursue her biggest dream and start her own namesake label Cenia New York. Cenia has surrounded herself with a talented group of artists and technicians who handle the pattern making, sampling and production of her signature brand apparel. Cenia caters to tasteful, classy, sexy & sophisticated women who want to feel radiant no matter your size. Cenia blends inspiration from her Latin roots with her American influence to create a modern look that appeals to today’s modern woman. Her sensibility for detail, choice of fabrication and her bold exclusive prints have set her apart as a rising star in New York's fashion scene.
