Hi. I’m Trishna. I started my healthy eating journey in college, where I had to figure out how to eat healthy on a really tight budget. And the answer? More veggies! After earning my PhD in formulation science, I joined a food startup where I made vegan milks, yogurt, cheese and fake meats. But here’s the thing: these products were highly processed, which made them expensive, and they often were not very healthy. So, I quit my job and started Down to Cook. In 2020 we launched our first product, Adda Veggie. Today, we're committed to making room at the table for anyone–and everyone–who wants to eat more veggies. Adda Veggie is a plant-based ground meat alternative. Simply add veggies to the mix to create a better-for-you protein which can be formed into patties, meatless balls or a crumble and swapped in for the ground meat in your favorite recipes. Adda Veggie is a dry mix with a long shelf life and is the perfect pantry staple for vegetarians and folks looking to reduce their meat consumption. All of our products are vegan, soy-free, gluten-free, and non-GMO with 11g of plant protein and 4g of fiber per serving.
