Todd and Vanessa Steinberg were stressed out and wanted to find a natural way to feel calm. After experimenting with a proven straw breathing technique, they realized that breathing better changes the way you feel. Carrying a straw with them everywhere didn't seem realistic so they designed a minimalist necklace engineered to slow exhales to 8-10 seconds. This breathing technique immediately signals the nervous system to make you feel calm. The necklace design was inspired by the 17th century Komuso monks of Japan who used a similar tool to meditate. Todd and Vanessa inherited the wisdom of slowing breath to calm the mind and want to share that feeling with the world.
