Hey, I’m Candee, founder of Type of Candee, a stationery company that brings you unconventional humour for your real-life. I am passionate about helping people communicate in a more authentic way. I strive to create products that say what you’ve always been thinking in your head. I believe that humour helps break the ice, initiate a difficult conversation, and it also bonds us together! I’m not a shy person but through many childhood experiences I learned to be quiet and keep myself hidden. I believe many, many people have and are still experiencing trauma and feelings of not being accepted, understood and safe. For me, I tend to use humour and that comes through in my work. I am currently working on new inclusive card lines for neurodiversity, LGBTQ, and more. My daughter and I live in Squamish, BC, and are slowly acclimating to the outdoor lifestyle. Bears wandering down the street, finding out what people use five different bikes for, and finding a tribe of open-hearted, strong people to share this amazing life with! Read their story
