Maple And Oak Designs is mostly me, Leonie. Since 2012, I make colourful fashion accessories for people who believe in maximalism. Inspired by vintage fashions, flowers, dots and stripes, I work with reclaimed and eco-friendly fabrics. Everything is painstakingly handmade by myself in small batches. I cannot count the times I heard someone exclaim: “Oh, how cute!”, when they saw me wear one of my Rockabilly Headbands. A wholesale bestseller since day one, they continue to make people happy every day. Combined with a pair of my Vintage Fabric-Covered Earrings and even the plainest outfit will be fun! My favourite fall/winter products are my Walkstoff headbands. Walkstoff is a plush, cozy, knitted and felted wool fabric from Germany (just like me!). The botanical patterns are perfect to keep Canadian ears warm and colourful in winter. Summer or winter, pastel or vibrant, I’ve got something to match your individual style. Just like Iris Apfel said: “More is more and less is a bore.”
