Mixing and formulating our own glazes and clay bodies we create products you won't find anywhere else. Our products are made from high fire porcelain fired to cone 10 with colorful crystalline glazes. When porcelain is high fired it becomes non-porous and vitrified and with the bond of glazing the clay becomes a very strong and durable material. We mix and formulate our glazes and specialize in crystalline. Crystalline is the art of growing crystals in the glaze matrix during the firing. Crystal formation is influenced by the clay body, glaze formulation, and high heat inside the kiln. Similar to snowflake structures, crystals will grow in all different shapes and sizes. Expect glaze variations in color, size, placement, and number of crystals, as no two pieces are alike. The magic of the crystalline process make each Indikoi product unique!
