In April 2020, we launched Bazar Atelier Sablon, a 100% French brand of sewing accessories, and are bringing fabrics from our French heritage up to date, through a bucolic universe. Our products with unique patterns, steeped in history, meet the challenge of being manufactured in our French workshops; with the signature piece, the Jouy de Fruits, a city bag that combines practicality and aesthetics. The brand is now present in a dozen stores in France, Taiwan, and Japan, promoting French know-how. Hortense started sewing during the first lockdown to occupy her days, and then very quickly became passionate about this activity. She designs and makes all the prototypes with her own hands in Paris. After several experiences in major French Luxury Houses, she developed a sensitivity for upholstery fabrics, and transformed them into practical accessories. Lulled by the Toile de Jouy during her early childhood, Hortense draws her inspiration from the History of France, the House, and Parisian life.
