Sylvia Medina is the primary author, and creative director of the Green Kids Club. . As a youngster, she loved to hike and enjoy the wilderness and especially loved animals. Sylvia began her career as an Environmental Engineer and has focused on environmental issues and helping to preserve animal welfare. When she became a mother of twins, she discovered few programs for children that inspired environmental stewardship and endangered species conservation Inspired to make a difference she developed the Green Kids Club concept, which would help her children, as well as other children around the world, learn early positive environmental habits that they could share with others. Green Kids Club focuses on spreading the word about environmental issues relating to people and animals through storytelling. We do this by working with conservation groups such as Elephants Without Borders, Saving the Survivor, and Blood Lions as some examples, and writing children’s books related to environmental issues they are experiencing.
