Designed in NY, made in Italy. Karen Cardoso has over 25 years designing handbags and accessories for many successful brands in the heart of New York City. Graduating from F.I.T. in Fashion Illustration her love has always been in design and fashion. We started the Bolsa Nova Handbags Italian leather line 3 years ago and haven’t looked back. As a working Woman and a Mom, I wanted Bolsa Nova to be high-quality, stylish and timeless. We've combined Italian aesthetic with American functionality.  Our hand assembled, small batch, washed Italian leather handbag collection has an aged patina stemming from multiple washes to achieve that lived-in, antiqued, soft texture and look. All made in Florence Italy. Bolsa Nova is the Portuguese word for “new bag.” We are based in Long Island, NY but our photography, consultants, production and marketing happens all over the world. We are a small but global company. Being a mom, wife, daughter and a woman business owner, I feel a responsibility to give back, particularly to women in need through different charity organizations throughout the year.
