The simplicity of the accompanying materials is intentionally chosen to highlight the intricate beauty of the handmade beads—the true stars of each creation. ~ ARTIST BIO ~ AMI MORENCY ~ I'm the girl wearing heels and a pink toolbelt while wielding the chainsaw... I'm always busy working on something, home improvement, music, building furniture, macrame' chairs, beads or jewelry I'm always creating something. A while back, I was making a hanging macrame chair and I needed large hole beads to weave into the piece. I could not find the right size beads anywhere, it was so frustrating! One day I came across a "Bead Making Kit" in a store and I figured, I'll just make my own beads! The moment I lit the torch I knew I was hooked! The name Hang-ups came about because it seemed like everything I made hung up! I make 3 tiered hanging shelves, hanging macramé chairs, hammocks, hanging plant holders, clothing hangs up, you hang earrings on your ears, necklace on your neck and when I get hung up on the stress of the day, I go to the torch and in the flame I find my center, focus and balance. I design my jewelry for comfort and ease.
