Porto-Muiños is an expanding family business based in A Coruña (Galicia, Spain) led by the team formed by Antonio Muiños and Rosa Mirás, who began selling seaweed in 1998, becoming a pioneering company in Spain in seaweed cultivation. Porto-Muiños' main activity is the collection, cultivation, research, processing and commercialization of Galician seaweed, or as we like to call them, Sea Vegetables. In the early years, seaweed was processed to be sold dried or canned, but today it can also be found in powder, salted and fresh. Las Porto-Muiños seaweed is distributed not only in Spain, but in more than 15 countries around the world. Antonio and Rosa base their success on the study and dissemination of the organoleptic characteristics of algae. Innovation is a company policy, so research and respect for the environment are a priority. This small, expanding company also dedicates space and time to making other Galician seafood, including delicacies such as: Sea Urchin Eggs, Monkfish Liver, Seafood and Seaweed, Seaweed Infusions, Seaweed Pastes, Tapas and other products that contain all the flavor and richness of the Atlantic.Read their story
