WHEN LIFE HANDS YOU LEMONS, MAKE A SKIN & TONIC Sarah’s story… I created Skin & Tonic back in 2015 with my boyfriend and trusted sidekick Josh. A few years earlier, I suddenly lost my dad and shortly afterwards I was diagnosed with stage-4 endometriosis. I was completely overwhelmed by stress and soon realised that I needed to make some changes to my lifestyle to help combat its effects on my skin, body and mind. I quit my job, started eating more healthily, practicing yoga, and trying – whenever possible – to use organic skincare and wellbeing products. There wasn’t much choice back then, so I retrained in aromatherapy and skincare formulation, creating my own products to help nurture my skin and mellow my mind – enter Skin & Tonic… Despite the medical odds being stacked against us, Josh and I became parents to our beautiful daughter, Thea, in 2016 – the importance of self-kindness took on a whole new perspective after becoming a working Mum! I want Skin & Tonic to help put the pleasure back into your daily self-care because I understand, first hand, how small moments of comfort and calm can make a big difference to how we look and feel.Read their story
