For generations, my family has embraced the Turkish bath (Hammam) culture, a tradition included in wedding preparations and monthly rituals of hygiene, renewal, and relaxation. Living in Canada, I cherished these experiences during family visits to Turkey, always bringing back a Turkish body exfoliating mitt, known as a kese. However, the pandemic disrupted this tradition, and I found local options lacking the quality and effectiveness of those from my ancestral home. This inspired me to launch a feel-good company, to make my Turkish bath experience more accessible and to share it with friends and family in North America and beyond. My goal led me to explore exfoliating textiles from various countries, but the Turkish body exfoliators from my father's homeland remained unrivalled. Thus, Sende was born, a feel-good brand helping individuals feel their best by providing bath and self-care products, with our first and primary product to be keses. Our body exfoliating keses are handcrafted by locals with over half a century of expertise in my father's hometown. We source materials from FSC-certified forestry, ensuring sustainability.
