At HANS Brainfood, we are a Regensburg-based start-up developing sustainable food products, primarily focusing on hemp as a food source. We value regional raw materials, which is why we even have our own hemp fields! In doing so, we are doing something good not only for the people of today but also for the environment of tomorrow! Hemp and a food start-up? It might sound strange, but it's actually quite logical. The idea came to Matthias when he was traveling a lot for work and missed having a healthy snack on his journeys. This snack should be filling, keep you fit, and not have a long list of ingredients with hundreds of artificial additives. After extensive research and brainstorming, we - Isabella, Matthias, and Jakob - came across hemp, specifically hemp seeds. These are rich in protein, high-quality fatty acids, minerals like magnesium and iron, and B vitamins.
