Blinkenberg CPH was founded by Nikolaj Blinkenberg Willadsen, who is the great-grandson of Furniture manufacturer Søren Willadsen, grandson of Carpentry Master and furniture manufacturer Knud Willadsen and son of Architect Architect Jørn Blinkenberg Willadsen. With Blinkenberg CPH, Nikolaj designs and develops furniture, home accessories and wooden toys. Inspired by the Funkis style, Nikolajs designs are characterized by functionalism with a focus on practical use. The product portfolio ranges from handmade special productions (Unika) produced in our own workshop to Limited Editions and smaller series produced with the use of hand-picked subcontractors who cultivate the traditional craftsmanship traditions with practical use of modern production facilities, without compromising quality. Ordn a larger scale can be produced to order. Furthermore, there is a large back catalogue of prototypes and pre-developed designs such as the patented and award-winning Blinkenbike concept, which the company does not have the capacity and liquidity to realise.
