Life's complex. We keep it basic. 100% hand-poured, soy candles. Cotton wick. 80 hour burn time. Chris and Claire started making candles when they had to hunker down within their home during 2020 in Ridgewood Queens. Chris had previously been in the candle business and has a background in advertising and design. Claire makes art and has an affinity for hands-on experience and things scented. It was a perfect combo. A basic candle full of spirit, fun and pizzaz. ABOUT THE CANDLES SOY CANDLES Soy candles are made from soybeans, a natural, renewable source grown in many regions by local farmers. Paraffin candles are made from petroleum, which is a nonrenewable source that contains carcinogenic substances. Using candles made from soy supports local agriculture and farmers, allowing them to make money and grow their operations. SLOWER BURN A candle made from soy wax burns cleaner with little soot released as the candle burns. LONGER LASTING Soy candles typically last longer than a paraffin candle of the same size. The reason behind the longevity of soy candles is the slower burning time and cooler burning temperature of the soybean-based wax. BETTER SCENT. BETTER INGREDIENTS. A soy candle works well for holding onto the scent from oils, which are often used to scent candles. WHY TIN CANS? We believe a tin can has basic built right into it!
