Leka [leh-ka] Swedish for 'play' We are Johanna and Oliver, parents to three gorgeous kids, Dixie, Arlo and Atlas and the founders of Leka. Our youngest has just turned three and has the most fidgety hands we have ever had to pleasure to see. There are several options for keeping them busy, one is throwing whatever he can reach for, across a room, another is pouring milk from a bottle, just because it's a fun thing to do and most recently applying Johanna's lipstick across his entire body, half the kitchen wall and a good chunk of the kitchen table. We thought long and hard, through several bottles of floor cleaner, at least a dozen wet cloths and plenty of breathing in and out. Then Johanna had this mini brain wave. She had heard of busy boards, but the ones she had seen were very same same and as a true Swede, had the decor of the house in mind, "It has to fit in, It has to look good in the background!"..... So combined with her artistic skills, came up with Leka. Every board is hand made and painted with beautiful designs that will fit perfectly in a play room, lounge, bedroom or kitchen within your customers home.Read their story
