We love the north, where the sun slowly sinks into the sea, the sea is wild and unpredictable, the salty sea air and the fresh breeze, the unobstructed and expansive views of the North Sea: We live where others spend their holidays in our home of Studio am Meer. The ORIGINAL has been upcycling canvas since 2010. Social commitment and short transport routes are environmentally friendly and promote sustainability. True to the motto * Nordic by Nature*, the products are lovingly handmade. In collaboration with social institutions in northern Germany, we produce great, unique products mostly from used canvas: sustainability, functionality and design to the highest standards. Manufacture instead of mass-produced goods! How it all began: In 2010, on the East Frisian island of Norderney, the idea was born to make dog collars from used outer material such as yacht sails, kites or surf sails. The collars should be saltwater-resistant, lightweight, robust and stylish. WE LIVE IN A TIME OF PLENTY, WHERE EVERYONE ALREADY HAS EVERYTHING AND NEEDS NOTHING MORE - BUT THEY ARE STILL HAPPY ABOUT BEAUTIFUL THINGS. Read their story
